The kit is based on a painting by Lucy Pittaway dedicated to the much-loved Sycamore Gap tree on Hadrian's Wall. It is worked in counted cross stitch on evenweave blocks, following the chart; the threads come ready sorted by colour on an organiser, so you can start straight away. A few details are picked out in back stitch and fractional stitches, which makes it a better choice for stitchers with a little experience.
You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors, and the frame shown is not included: the square design works well mounted with a mount board, or made up into a cushion.
