Frosty Friends

Kate Garrett's design shows a snowman with his hedgehog friend, stitched on ice blue Aida. Alongside the cross stitch there is back stitch for the outlines and French knots for the small details: two straightforward stitches, covered in the instructions, that bring the faces and prickles to life.

Everything needed to stitch and make up the pennant is in the box, including the wooden dowel; you only need your own scissors and, if you prefer working with one, a hoop or frame. Once finished, the pennant becomes a Christmas decoration to hang on a door, a handle or the wall.
