A red-brick country house framed by trees, with a formal garden of low hedges, potted topiary and benches, a wrought-iron gate in the foreground and two magpies on the flowering lawn. The drawing comes from Sally Swannell's original artwork, full of architectural and botanical detail to stitch.
The design is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart; back stitch outlines the windows, gate and branches, while French knots add texture to the flowers. Besides the kit you will need small scissors and a hoop or frame, and once the stitching is done a picture frame, which is not included.
