After The Storm

A brightly coloured scene in Rosina Wachtmeister's unmistakable style: the cats sit on the grass while the storm moves away and a rainbow crosses the sky. The design is worked in full cross stitch for the figures and backgrounds, with backstitch for the outlines and a few beads to catch the light; use a short length of the metallic thread so it does not fray.

The stranded cottons come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so you can start stitching straight away. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors; the frame is not included, though the size suits a standard off-the-shelf moulding.
