Wreath with Irises

A wreath of irises in bloom, worked in counted cross stitch following the chart supplied. The kit brings together everything needed for the stitching itself: white 16-count Aida, the pre-selected DMC stranded cotton and an embroidery needle. The even weave of Aida makes the squares easy to follow, while the number of colours and the shading of the petals call for a little patience when changing threads.

A hoop or frame, small embroidery scissors and good light all help while you stitch. A picture frame is not included: once finished, the wreath suits framing, with or without a mount, or can be made up into a cushion.
