Awakening Moon

A fox pauses on a bank of primroses and bluebells as the full moon rises behind a blossoming tree and two swallows cross the sky: a spring scene in purples, greens and rust, with the title stitched along the bottom of the design.

It is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart; backstitch outlines the branches and the lettering, while French knots add the smallest flowers. The threads come already sorted by colour, so you can start straight away, though you will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, and the frame shown is not included. The tall, narrow format hangs well beside a window or along a hallway.
