Hannah Dale's beaver sits with its front paws tucked in, surrounded by branches with soft green leaves. The fur is built up by blending shades of brown, while the white fabric is already printed with the speckle used across the Wrendale collections, so the background needs no stitching. Back stitch is used only for the finest outlines.

The threads come sorted and wound onto a card organiser, so you can start straight away; you will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. A frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be professionally framed or mounted in a wooden hoop.
