Dandy Day

A guinea pig peeps out from a patch of yellow dandelions, in the watercolour style that Wrendale Designs is known for. The picture is worked in cross stitch, with back stitch for the outlines and the finer details, on a white Aida printed with tiny speckles that give the background depth without any extra stitching.

The stranded cottons come sorted and numbered on a card organiser, so you can start straight away. A frame is not included, so allow for one separately, along with a hoop and small embroidery scissors. The finished square looks good framed, and works equally well made up into a cushion front.
