A stag with broad antlers and a young deer beside him, caught in a light snowfall that is already printed on the fabric: the speckled background adds depth without any extra stitching. The artwork is by Hannah Dale of Wrendale Designs, and the piece is worked mainly in whole cross stitch, with a few fractional stitches, backstitch for the outlines and two French knots for the eyes.
The threads come pre-sorted on a card organiser, so you can start straight away. A frame is not included: you will need a square frame to display the finished work, and a hoop plus small embroidery scissors are handy while stitching.
