Country Folk

A sampler of woodland characters dressed like country folk: the squirrel with her basket, the fox in tie and wellies, the otter off fishing, the hedgehog with an apple and the whole rabbit family. Each one has its name stitched beside it, on a pale ground that gives the little scenes room to breathe.

It is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, with back stitch for outlines and lettering and French knots for the small details. The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so you can start straight away; you will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors, and the frame shown is not included. A good-sized piece to hang in a child's room.
