Description

Two large pale buds open around a spike of red berries, among turquoise leaves on a coral ground: a design by April Mawhinney for the Forbidden Botanicals collection, inspired by poisonous plants. The canvas comes printed in full colour, so you simply follow the design, with the chart beside you to settle any doubts about the shading.

The wool covers the canvas well and the open count means a piece of this size grows quickly. To make it up as a cushion you will also need backing fabric, piping if you like it and a cushion pad, none of which are included — the dark edging in the photo is a finishing touch. The stitched panel can equally well be framed.
