Poppies

A cluster of red poppies standing out against a black ground, printed on antique Penelope canvas in a long, narrow format that suits a wall above a sofa or a console table. It is worked in half cross stitch following the printed colours, with no counting: the design guides the whole piece, even though there is a good deal of surface to cover.

The canvas is sold on its own: threads and needle are not included. The required materials list shows the DMC Soft Cotton colours matched to this design, which can be added to the cart in one go. You will also need a blunt tapestry needle and, if you like, a frame. Once finished, the work can be stretched and framed.
