The design is printed in colour straight onto the Penelope canvas, so there is no counting: you simply stitch over the shades already on the fabric. The tall, narrow format suits a vertical panel to frame, a fire screen or a decorative band for the home.

Threads are not included: reproducing the model calls for twelve DMC Soft Cotton colours, which can be ordered separately along with a blunt tapestry needle. Penelope canvas has double threads, so it can be worked in half cross or tent stitch over the double mesh or, by separating the threads, in petit point where the design needs finer detail.
