Grand Pere

An old-fashioned scene: an elderly man in a flat cap, sitting at the table, fills his pipe in the warm light of an oil lamp. The design is already printed in colour on the Penelope canvas, so there is no counting involved: you simply follow the printed areas with slanting stitches, and the work grows quickly even on a piece this size.

The canvas is sold on its own: threads are not included. To match the model, use DMC Soft Cotton in the colours listed among the required materials, though tapestry wool works just as well. A scroll or stretcher frame helps keep the canvas taut. Once finished, the panel is ready for framing.
