Dawn

A lake at dawn seen through the pale trunks of birch trees, with the sun mirrored on the water. The design is already printed in colour on the Penelope canvas, so there is no counting: you simply stitch following the printed shades. Needlepoint is worked with diagonal stitches all slanting the same way, gradually covering the whole design area.

The canvas is sold on its own: threads are not included. The DMC Soft Cotton colours used for the model are listed under the required materials and can be added to the cart in one go; you will also need a blunt tapestry needle and, if you like, a frame. The unprinted margin makes it easy to stretch and frame the finished piece.
