Empress Sissi

The portrait of the young Empress Elisabeth of Austria, in her pale flowered gown with pearls and flowers plaited into her hair, is printed in full colour straight onto the canvas: there is no counting, you simply cover the mesh with slanting stitches following the printed shades. It is a large piece to work through at a leisurely pace, while the stitching itself stays simple and relaxing.

Threads are not included: the required materials list shows the DMC Soft Cotton colours chosen for this design, which can be added to the cart in one go. You will also need a blunt tapestry needle and, if you like to work with the canvas taut, a frame. Once finished, the panel suits framing (frame not included).
