Heart Of England

A heart filled with a little slice of the English countryside: white cottages, grazing sheep, pine woods and flower borders, signed off with «England» in flowing script. The design is counted on pale blue Aida and uses fractional stitches and back stitch alongside the cross stitch, especially for the outlines and the lettering, so some previous stitching experience helps.

The threads come ready sorted and numbered on an organiser, so there is no winding or matching before you start. The frame is not included; a hoop or stretcher frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors make the work easier. Once finished, the piece looks lovely framed at home or given as a gift.
