Kit contains chart and instructions, needle, 14 count Aida fabric, pre-sorted stranded cotton threads. In addition to the cross stitch, the particular stitches used for this kit are the back stitch and French knot.

Description

The design comes from an original painting by Lucy Pittaway: two sheep peer over the brow of a hill above a meadow in bloom, with the sky shifting from sunset pink to deep cloudy blue. The flowers are built up from many shades of cross stitch, while back stitch draws the stems and outlines and French knots dot the flower centres.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the box, threads included; a hoop or frame for working and a picture frame for displaying are not part of the kit. With its wide palette and extra stitches, it suits stitchers who already have a few projects behind them.
