Oh Christmas Tree

A Christmas scene in true Wrendale style: the background is already printed with a speckled, snowy effect, so only the motifs are stitched and the work grows faster than the size suggests. The metallic and sparkle threads catch the light on the star and the candles, while French knots and backstitch bring out the detail in the animals' fur and feathers.

For a panel of this size a large hoop or a frame and good lighting make the stitching much easier. The picture frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be professionally framed, or made up as a seasonal picture to put away with the decorations and hang again each December.
