A small tribute to sewing: a bumblebee carries the «Sewing Bee» sign aloft, with a spool, a thimble and a bee skep dangling below, all worked in fine detail on a close-woven fabric. Alongside full cross stitch the design uses back stitch for outlines and fine threads, plus French knots for little raised accents; both stitches are explained in the instructions and give lightness to the wings and the hanging objects.
The threads come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so you can start straight away. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, which are not included, and the frame for display is not supplied either. Its modest size makes it a quick project, nice to hang in a sewing corner or to give to someone who sews.
