Description

A close-up corner of the countryside, with sunflower heads and two bees flying above them, designed by Kate Heiss for the Silken Scenes collection. The canvas is printed with the outlines of each shape: you fill the areas with long straight stitches, following the chart for stitch direction and colours, while the creative stitches add texture to the flower centres and the furrows of the field.

Work grows quickly because each stitch covers several canvas threads, so this is a good project for anyone who only knows cross stitch and fancies trying something different. A frame is not included: once finished, the panel can be framed or made up into a cushion.
