A summer bouquet in watercolour tones: two large pink peonies at the centre, white daisies and blue and lilac spikes rising above them. There are many shades and the colour changes are gradual, so it helps to follow the chart carefully and work area by area, starting from the centre of the fabric.
The design is stitched by counting the squares of the Aida, usually with two strands of cotton for the cross stitch. The instructions come in English, German and French, and the colour symbol chart is easy to read. A hoop or frame to keep the fabric taut is useful; the fabric margin around the design leaves room for framing the finished piece, frame not included.
