A corner of Venice at carnival time, with the jester doll on the ledge, the lute, the lilies and a gondola gliding in the background. The shading is detailed, so this is a project for stitchers with some experience of counted cross stitch who enjoy a large piece to work on over time.
The Aida is white and unprinted: you follow the colour chart with symbols, usually with one or two strands of stranded cotton depending on the coverage you prefer. The threads come already sorted on the organiser, so you can start straight away. The frame is not included; a hoop or frame and good light will help with the many shades of red.
