A country tea scene: a gleaming samovar, a stack of pancakes with strawberries, daisies and wheat ears beside a steaming cup, and the wooden houses of a village stretching up the hillside. The shading is rich, and the 56 colours already sorted on the thread organiser make it easier to follow the gradual changes in the copper and the sky.
It is worked in counted cross stitch on 16 count Aida, a fairly fine count that holds plenty of detail, so good light and a magnifier help. No hoop or frame is included; the instructions are in English, German and French, while the colour symbol chart can be read in any language. A substantial project for stitchers with some experience, made to be framed when finished.
