Description

Two bookmarks with sunflowers, small butterflies and purple flowers, worked in cross stitch on white Aida. The purple border frames the design, and the satin ribbon, included in the kit, is attached at the top once the stitching is done. They are short projects with only a few colours at a time, so they suit newer stitchers too.

Alongside the cross stitch there are a few long stitches for the finer stems, explained in the instructions. For the finishing you will need a stiff backing or a piece of card to cover the reverse, which is not included: many people glue on felt or fabric to hide the back of the work. A small gift idea for a reader, easy to make ahead.
