The design is already painted onto the large-hole canvas, so there is no counting: you simply stitch over the printed colours with the thick acrylic yarn, which fills the canvas well and grows quickly. It makes a relaxing project, also suitable for a first attempt at cross stitch or for stitching alongside children.
What you make is the front panel of a cushion cover: the pad and the backing fabric are not included and need to be bought separately, along with a little sewing to make up the cover. The finished piece can also be framed instead. A frame or hoop of a suitable size makes the work easier to handle.
