A birth sampler to personalise: the alphabet supplied with the chart lets you stitch the baby's name and date of birth, while the farmyard scene – the cow in the foreground, the rabbit, the piglet, the puppy and the poultry – stays the same. It is worked in cross stitch over two threads of Aida, with a little back stitch outlining faces and details.
The large-square chart and the pre-sorted threads in the organizer make this an easy project even with limited experience. You will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the display frame is not included, so it is best chosen once the stitching is done, perhaps with a pale mount.
