Two kittens curled up in the snow among holly and red berries, worked in latch hook: short lengths of yarn are knotted onto the large hole canvas with the hook supplied. The design is already painted on the canvas, so there is no counting and no chart to follow — you simply work row by row following the printed colours.
It is a simple, repetitive technique that suits beginners and gives the thick, plush surface typical of knotted rugs. To finish the panel as a cushion you will need backing fabric and a cushion pad, which are not included; alternatively the piece can be made up as a small rug or a wall hanging.
