Runner Chicken family

A family of chickens among spring flowers, worked on a table runner that comes ready made up: the edges are already hemmed and the design is printed on the fabric, so you stitch over the printed colours instead of counting from a blank cloth.

The 11 count Perlaida has large, clearly defined squares that suit newer stitchers or anyone who prefers not to strain their eyes; a needle is not listed among the contents, so keep a size 24 tapestry needle to hand. Once finished, a gentle wash and a press from the back are all it needs before it goes on the kitchen table or a sideboard.
