A wreath of bright meadow flowers runs around the centre of the cloth, leaving the middle free for plates, a jug or a vase. The design is printed directly on the fabric: you follow the coloured lines, with no counting involved, and the printing washes out at the first wash, leaving only the embroidery.
Threads, needle and instructions are all in the box, so you only need an embroidery hoop and small scissors. The stitches are standard hand-embroidery ones, within reach of anyone who has done a little stitching before. A long but restful project, lovely to keep or to give.
