Tablecloth kit - Lavender

A square tablecloth that comes ready hemmed, with the design printed straight onto the cotton: you simply follow the printed colours, with no fabric threads to count. The pattern runs round all four sides with bunches of lavender, small yellow daisies and butterflies, leaving the centre clear for plates and glasses.

As well as cross stitch you will use long stitch and stem stitch for the stems and a few details — nothing tricky, but worth having tried before. The printing is water-soluble and washes out, so a gentle wash at the end leaves only the embroidery on the cloth. An embroidery hoop or frame makes the work easier and is not included.
