Description

A square tablecloth that comes ready hemmed, with the design printed straight onto the cotton: you stitch over the print instead of counting threads, and the printed lines wash out when the work is finished. Alongside the cross stitch there are stem stitch, back stitch and french knots for the outlines and the pale scrollwork — a few easy stitches that come in handy in later projects.

Everything you need is in the box, threads and needle included, so you can start right away; on a piece this large a round hoop that you move from area to area makes the stitching more comfortable. Once finished, wash by hand and press on the reverse: it dresses the table at Christmas or covers a small table beside the tree.

Unfortunately, the centerpiece is not square as described, but a few cm longer on one side, so it does not fit the square table for which I had taken it. Furthermore, the design of the large crosses on a very fine canvas is not accurate, the crosses do not match and it is not possible to perform the embroidery! I am very disappointed with the product, yet the brand is very well known.

Hello and thank you for your precise information :-) We take this kit directly from Vervaco and report exactly the description of Vervaco itself, then we will inform them of your observations on the measures. As for the spreaders, however, this pre-printed canvas with spreaders should not be embroidered by counting the threads and this is specified in the instructions, precisely because it is not a counted thread fabric.
