Runner - Violets

A ready-made, hemmed table runner with the pansy design printed straight onto the fabric: you stitch over the printed colours, with no counting involved. The print washes out, so only the embroidery is left on the finished piece.

Besides cross stitch, the design uses a few long stitches, stem stitch and back stitch for the stems and outlines; they are simple stitches and the enclosed instructions explain them. Everything needed is in the kit, so you only need small scissors and, if you like working with the fabric taut, a hoop or frame. Once finished, the runner can dress a table, a sideboard or a console.
