A Christmas stocking to stitch and then personalise: the chart includes an alphabet, so you can add a name across the top, like the 'Jonathan' in the photo. The design mixes cross stitch, half cross stitch and a few long stitches for the finer details, such as the reindeer's antlers and the snowflakes.
The felt backing and the hanging ribbon are supplied, but the final making up is done by hand: you will also need sewing thread and scissors, plus a hoop or frame if you prefer to keep the fabric taut. Once finished, the stocking can hang by the fireplace or on a door and comes out again every year.
