Description

Aida band 7003 is a cotton ribbon with both long edges already finished, so it can be cut to length and stitched straight away, with no hemming. The blocks are clearly defined, which makes counting easy even for beginners, and the band is firm enough to be worked in the hand without a hoop.

It suits bookmarks, covers for jars and pots, borders for towels, tablecloths, aprons and curtains, Christmas decorations and small gifts. Cross stitch over one block is usually worked with two strands of stranded cotton, one strand for backstitch, using a size 24 tapestry needle. Centre the design across the band and leave a few extra centimetres at each end for finishing.
