A Christmastide Tale

A high-heeled shoe turned into a Christmas tree, complete with fir branches, pine cones, stars and baubles; beside it stands a nutcracker in a red coat with his staff, while a small figure climbs the toe clutching a toy. The design comes from an original illustration by Sally King and belongs to the shoe-themed series.

It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, with details picked out in back stitch and French knots, so a little experience helps. The threads come ready sorted by colour on an organiser, so you can start straight away. You will also want a hoop or frame and small scissors; the picture frame is not included.
