A Peep of Chicks

An English country scene: the stone cottage with its red door and washing out to dry, a blue hen house and a family of chicks pecking in the grass. Counted cross stitch is worked square by square from the chart; this design also uses back stitch for the outlines and French knots, both covered in the instructions, so it suits someone who has already stitched a project or two.
