Christmas Cards - Flamingle Bells

Two flamingos dressed for Christmas, one in a Santa hat and one in a red scarf, stitched on fabric whose background is already printed with a speckled, snowy effect. The design comes from an original watercolour by Hannah Dale for Wrendale Designs and is worked in full cross stitch, with a little back stitch for the details and a few French knots.

The triple-fold card and envelope are part of the kit, so once the stitching is done the card is ready to mount and send. All you need to add is a hoop or frame, if you like to keep the fabric taut, and a small pair of scissors. It is an evening or two of stitching, manageable even with little experience, and the finished piece can be framed instead of made up as a card.
