Two little birds that look as if they are chatting above a patch of yellow flowers: a Hannah Dale design for Wrendale Designs, worked in half cross stitch by following the colours printed on the canvas, with no counting involved. The finer details, outlines and tiny knots, are added at the end in stranded cotton.
Tapestry wool covers the canvas well and grows quickly, even over a large area. To make the piece up into a cushion you will also need backing fabric and a cushion pad, which are not supplied, plus any trimming you like; alternatively the panel can be framed. The yellow piping shown in the photo is not part of the kit.
