Cushion - Wilhelmina

A William Morris design packed with roses, daisies, leaves and berries on a dark green ground, worked in half cross stitch over a canvas that is already printed in full colour: there is no counting, you simply cover the print stitch by stitch with tapestry wool. The wool gives good coverage and the work grows quickly, even over such a generous area.

The kit covers the front of the cushion only: backing fabric, cushion pad and finishing materials are not included, nor is the piping seen in the photograph. Bothy Threads offers a separate square backing kit to make the piece up, or the finished needlepoint can be framed instead.
