A little mouse climbing a daisy stem while ladybirds wander across the petals, taken from Hannah Dale's watercolours for the Wrendale collection. The speckled background is already printed on the fabric, so the finished piece keeps the splashes of colour of the original without any extra stitching.
The design is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart; alongside the full stitches there are a few fractional stitches, backstitch outlines and two French knots, so it suits stitchers with a little experience. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors make the work easier. A picture frame is not included: once mounted on board, the square panel is simple to frame.
