Gardener's Cottage

A country cottage with its garden in bloom, a white gate and two geese coming up the path: a Sally Swannell design from the A Country Estate collection, worked on evenweave Aida following the symbol chart.

Alongside full cross stitch the design uses a few fractional stitches to soften the outlines, backstitch for the details and three French knots, so a little experience helps. The threads come sorted by colour on the organiser, ready to start. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, and the frame shown is not included. Once mounted and framed, the finished piece suits a hallway or a kitchen wall.
