Description

A wren perched on a daffodil, with a bee in flight and a ladybird climbing the stem: a spring scene taken from Hannah Dale's watercolours for Wrendale Designs. The speckled background is already printed on the Aida, so only the motifs are stitched and the work grows quickly.

The kit includes everything you need, threads as well: just add a pair of small scissors and, if you prefer working that way, a little hoop. Alongside plain cross stitch there are fractional stitches, back stitch and French knots, so it suits someone with a little experience. The alphabet lets you add a name or a date, turning the card into a keepsake that can also be framed.
