Description

A black Labrador in a white coat, stethoscope round his neck, examines a small dog perched on a red stool; behind them a shelf of bottles, below a feeding bowl and two bone-shaped biscuits. With 'lab report' at the top and 'get well soon' at the bottom, it makes a cheerful recovery card for a dog lover.

The design is worked in cross stitch, with back stitch for the outlines and French knots for small details, so a little experience with those stitches helps. Card and envelope are included, along with an alphabet for adding a name or date. You only need scissors and, if you like, a small hoop.
