Description

A hedgehog in a paper party hat raises a glass beside a cake full of lit candles, surrounded by balloons, confetti and a freshly popped bottle: a birthday card to stitch rather than buy, complete with a joke about candles and extra cake.

The design is worked in counted cross stitch on Aida following the chart, with a little back stitch for the outlines and French knots for the details. The alphabet and numbers included let you add a name or an age. Once finished, the stitching is mounted in the ready-cut card to post or hand over; all you need to add are small scissors and, if you like, a hoop. The kit comes in plastic-free packaging.
