Peony The One

Two pink peonies in full bloom, with buds, bees and a ladybird, framed by the pun 'You are peony the one for me' and a banner reading 'The One'. The design is by Angie Spurgeon and is worked in cross stitch over the squares of the Aida, while the outlines and the lettering are finished in back stitch: that is the part that needs most care and gives the piece its illustrated look.

The box holds everything needed to stitch, threads included and already sorted by colour; you only need to add a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. Once finished, the piece can be framed, perhaps with a pale mount: the frame is not included. It makes a good gift for Valentine's Day, an anniversary or a birthday.
