A wren has paused beside a toppled terracotta flowerpot, a sprig of pink blossom in its beak and two purple pansies in the foreground: a watercolour design by Hannah Dale, with the soft colours and gentle line typical of Wrendale Designs.
The speckled background is already printed on the fabric, so only the motifs are stitched from the chart, and the threads come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so there is no guessing which skein is which. A hoop or frame and small scissors are handy as well; the picture frame is not included. Once finished, the piece looks well framed with a pale mount.
