Three dogs ready for Halloween night: a pug in a pumpkin costume, a golden retriever wearing a mask and carrying a jack-o'-lantern bucket, and a Cavalier King Charles in a witch's hat and star-patterned cape. The artwork is by Hannah Dale, the illustrator behind the Wrendale collection, and the speckled printed background gives the piece a soft, dotted sky effect.
The design is worked from the chart in counted cross stitch: mostly full crosses, with a few fractional stitches and backstitch for the outlines. The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so stitching can start straight away. A hoop or frame and small scissors are handy; the picture frame is not included, and the finished piece can be framed or made into a cushion.
