Description

Christmas Eve as the family dog sees it: paws up on the sofa, a kitten climbing behind him, a mouse on the cushion and a stocking waiting to be filled. The artwork is by Anita Jeram, the illustrator of children's books, and keeps the soft feel of her watercolours.

It is worked in full cross stitch on 14 count Aida, with backstitch for the outlines and the lettering and a few French knots for detail; the sparkle thread adds a glint to the stars. Everything is in the kit apart from a hoop or frame, scissors and the picture frame. Once finished it makes a small Christmas picture to hang up year after year.
