A glowing lantern surrounded by peonies, roses and trailing wisteria, with two butterflies drawn to the light: a floral design in soft pinks and purples on a neutral ground. It is worked in counted cross stitch from a full-colour chart with symbols, on unprinted Aida; on 14 count most stitchers use two strands of stranded cotton.
The threads come already sorted by colour on an organiser, so you can start straight away without winding and labelling skeins. Written instructions are in English and Russian only, but the symbol chart is easy to follow in any language. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors are useful, and the finished piece suits a simple frame (the frame is not included).
